Drilling mud agitator summary
Drilling mud agitator is a kind of mechanical agitator, also part of the drilling fluid solids control equipment, which is mainly used to agitate and mix the drilling mud to prevent solids particles from depositing in the circulating mud tank and to stabilize the performance of drilling fluid.
In order to keep the drilling fluids even and make particles suspending, we need to fix the agitators on recycling tank. Agitating will promote the coordination of drilling mud material, such as bentonite and barite. We should keep agitator working continuously to avoid solid precipitating and keep solid suspending is helpful to separate them by desander, desilter, and decanter centrifuge, etc.
Maintenance skills of drilling mud agitator
1. Before starting equipment, check if the connection parts have had been loose phenomenon.
2. The staff through the oil mark check whether the lubricating oil in reducer and gear box is enough. If there is a shortage of lubricating oil, we must add lubricating oil with the same grade to enough.
3. Check oil drain plug seal whether leaking oil. If happen oil leakage phenomenon, we must tighten the drain plug.
4. When testing machine, mainly observe whether the whole operation is smooth and the noise is too large. Stop to check immediately if there is abnormal. After trouble to be excluded, the party can be put into normal operation.
5. Putting into normal operation within 5 days, lubricating oil in gear box should be discharged out completely, clean out the gear box and replace it with clean lubricating oil, after replace once every 6 month.
