In the oilfield drilling process the desander widely used as the 2nd stage equipment of the solids control system, and it can separates the solids with diameter between 45 and 75μm. According to your treating capacity, you can choose the quantity of cones for desander.
To get drilling fluids desander work well, there are nine useful points of daily maintenance:
1. Spare filter element and adequate O-shape sealing ring should be fully prepared.
2. Visual inspection should be conducted into its hydrocyclones.
3. Indicated value displayed on pressure differential gauge should not surpass 3MPa when it is working.
4. Only one hydrocyclone is rolling while the other one is saved for later use.
5. Six-hourly examination of wall thickness should be carried out on key parts of desander.
6. A sudden fall of pressure differential indicates damaged filter element. In this case, one hydrocyclone should be shut and another one started.
7. Filter element should be taken out and examined after one day finishes.
8. The butter from screw thread should be prevented from blocking desander filter element. If blocked, it should be moved from machine and cleaned by high-pressure steam
9. The moment the filter element is moved from machine, it should be cleaned by water at once to avoid precipitation of sand or support agent at essential points.
