Mud cleaner is the second and the third stage solids control equipment which are composed of desander, desilter and underflow shaker screen to separate solids particles in drilling mud. Compact structure, a few spare parts, powerful functions, mud cleaner is the ideal choice in drilling mud solids control equipment system.

Mud cleaner structure
1.Desander. Desander is the second class solid control equipment used to treat the drilling fluid. All the cones are made of high quality polyurethane, hi-chromium iron or ceramics. According to the size of the cone diameter , We commonly use 8 “and 10″ cones desander to separate solids particles size 47-76μm in the drilling fluids
Desander cones were designed according to principles of particle sedimentation, through centrifuge pump producing power and speed, the separation medium for the drilling fluid enter the cyclone inner wall spiral.
Under the action of centrifugal force and gravity, larger solids particles goes down by cyclone inner wall spiral, discharged from underflow, and then falling over the shale shaker to separate. The rest of the medium along the spiral cyclone to rise that get into the third stage from the overflow port, purifying again

2. Desilter. Desilter is the third stage solid control equipment to treat the drilling fluid. Cones material is high anti-corrosive polyurethane or hi-chromium lead long service life. Desilter cones can be used 4” to separate out 15~44 microns particles.

3. Bottom shaker screen. Adopted different type shaker screen. Such as hook strap screen, steel frame screen, the flat type or corrugated screen. Actually, the steel frame screens will be more convenient to install or replace shaker screens.
