Desilter Equipment In Solids Control System
A desilter is the 4th phase purification equipment in the mud system. It holds similar principle and operational way as desander. However, the separation point will be finer. Depends on clients requirement, it can be set to different numbers hydrocyclone. Desilter cones are typically 4”, but some client will request 3”, 5” as well. So it is rather flexible on capacity configuration. Desilter can be fit with the bottom shaker or not. Or it can be combined with shaker and desander together to be the mud cleaner. We call desilter as the 3rd phase solids control equipment.
