Damping methods of drilling mud centrifuge

Drilling mud centrifuge is mainly used to separate 2-14μm solids. As centrifuge with high speed, in order to avoid great vibration and without effects on separating effect of centrifuge, we should consider the damping factors in design.

In the design of drilling mud centrifuge, mainly through following 3 parts designing high speed centrifuge to reach damping effect.
1. Design spindle bearing seat into flexible vibration type
2. The whole drive system with flexible connection frame
3. Between spindle and motor with flexible connection.

Except for the above three parts of high speed centrifuge with flexible vibration type, the elastic joint can be also adopted between the head and the spindle. Some manufacturers have a layer of silicone rubber between high-speed centrifuge spindle and head, it can further absorb vibration. In addition to a variety of measures to reduce vibration isolation effect, but also the critical speed of rotating system decreased, so that the working speed is far away from the critical speed.
Generally the rubber damper can meet the vibration requirements of drilling fluids high-speed centrifuge. The stronger rubber hardness, the higher for the critical speed of the system.
