Centrifugal pump for solids control equipment

As a special type in solids control system, centrifugal pump is power source for desander, desilter, swirl mixing device, etc. in drilling mud solids control equipment. Furthermore, it also can be used as grout pump and for assisting grouting, as a make-up pump for wellhead supply, as a delivery pump for drilling mud transport between mud tanks.

Working principle of centrifugal pump
After the centrifugal pump started, the pump shaft drive impeller together to do high speed rotation, forced beforehand filling between the blades liquid rotation, under the function of inertia centrifugal, liquid does a radial motion from the impeller center to peripheral. Liquid won energy in the process of flow to impeller movement, static pressure energy increases, velocity increased, and then liquid depart from impeller to enter into pump casing.

Common solution for centrifugal pump with trouble
If there are some abrasion, it is probable to have the following two items.
1. Packing seal serious leakage, packing serious abrasion, the surface of surface wear.
Solution: removal the packing, with a fine wire bent 90 degrees into the mechanical seal box, and move in the sleeve wall, if check the deeper ditch, should replace the sleeve. Tightly press packing cover will lead to packing serious abrasion.
2. Polyurethane seal wear caused serious leakage.
Solution: replace polyurethane seal. (Usually, after the pump running with 3-6 months, we should replace polyurethane oil seal and the sleeve)
