How to use shale shaker correctly?
The drilling mud shale shaker is the first stage of oil drilling fluids solids control equipment in drilling fluids purification system. The drilling mud shale shaker can remove cuttings above 75μm brought from the drilling well to leave the liquid with smaller particles into the drilling fluid circulation mud tanks below, which will flow into next grade drilling fluids solids control equipment to be treated.
The usage method of drilling mud shale shaker
1. Adjust the specification of screens with the variation of the lithology, drilling rate, well depth and the type of drilling fluid. Choosing the effective shaker screen with fine mesh as far as possible.
2. The flow area should cover from 75 to 80 percent of the total screen area at the normal drilling rate.
3. The drilling fluids pumped out of wellbore should be treated by drilling fluids shale shaker as the primary purification process, and keep 100 percent utilization of shale shaker.
